WORKING TOWARDS A BETTER FUTURE FOR SAN RAMON​
My name is Robert Jweinat, and I am proud to announce my candidacy for San Ramon City Council. Born in San Francisco and raised in Castro Valley, my deep Bay Area roots were shaped by working in our family restaurant and at UPS in San Ramon, helping me bootstrap my way through college and law school. These experiences taught me the values of empathy, hard work, community, and resilience, which continue to drive my commitment as a father, a business owner, and as an attorney to my clients and to public service.

I am a graduate of the San Ramon Citizens Academy, where I had the privilege of learning valuable insight into the daily operations and challenges faced by law enforcement from our dedicated officers. I gained a deeper understanding of public safety, which is one of the core responsibilities of city governance. This experience not only built a stronger connection with the community but it also equipped me with the knowledge needed to make informed decisions on policies that impact the safety and wellbeing of residents. The Citizens Academy demonstrates a commitment to transparent, informed leadership and a willingness to engage directly with those who protect and serve our city.
​I also served on the Economic Development Advisory Committee. In this role, I actively contributed to initiatives that stimulated business activity, supported local enterprises, and ensured that commercial developments met community standards. My work also included advocating for affordable housing and thoughtful redevelopment projects that benefitted our entire city.
As a barred attorney since 2022 and with over a decade of leadership experience in technology startups, I bring a wealth of knowledge in strategic planning, team management, and budget oversight.
